Clubhouse Close-up
Bishopthorpe White Rose Football Club was granted permission by the City of York Council and Football Association to build a new home facility and pitches off Sim Balk Lane.
We are one of the largest junior football clubs in Yorkshire with approximately 500 players. We have a fantastic opportunity to have our own purpose build pitches and clubhouse - a local venue to accommodate our training, matches and gatherings. Our club's 30 teams currently play across five different sites in York and do not have a clubhouse to provide a focal point in the community. Now with planning and funding in place for our own site, it's the club's primary mission to successfully move and make the new site a real community asset.
Alongside our new site we also plan to develop our existing 11-a-side pitch on Ferry Lane into a number of 5-a-side and 7-a-side pitches for our youngest teams.
