We moved into our new site at White Rose Park in August 2021. We're lucky to have such a fantastic site, and we're really committed to ensuring that we maintain the amazing quality of our new pitches and clubhouse.
We've formed a group of volunteers who meet weekly on a Monday morning to carry out regular maintenance tasks. Two of our the group have gained pitch management qualifications from the Grounds Management Association, and we've taken lots of professional advice on how best to manage and maintain our pitches. We're now undertaking many tasks ourselves such as grass cutting, light aeration work, line marking, pitch repairs, goalpost checks, boundary maintenance, and also some internal tasks in our new club house such as fire alarm tests and regular repairs. If you're interested in helping with this vital work please do contact us at bishopthorpewhiterose@gmail.com. Even occasional help is very welcome. Drinks and snacks are provided!
Alongside the in-house work we use a pitch management contractor to deliver more complex and specialist tasks such as annual sanding and scarification, deep aeration and fertilising.
All of this work, alongside regular costs such as the provision of sports equipment, utilities bills, building servicing costs etc. costs the club a huge amount, so we're always looking for fundraising opportunities to help cover the cost of running the site and providing a great sporting experience for our players. As well as applying for grants where applicable, we now have an exciting opportunity for companies to purchase a sponsor board adjacent to our main pitch. Any interested grant providers or potential sponsors can contact us at bishopthorpewhiterose@gmail.com.

Bishopthorpe White Rose Football Club was granted permission by the City of York Council and Football Association to build a new home facility and pitches off Sim Balk Lane in 2016.
By 2020 we had raise £80,000 as our contribution, and shortly after that played our first games at our new site!
We are now one of the largest junior football clubs in Yorkshire with over 500 players.
